It is just over ten weeks since the floods devastated a number of towns and villages in Cumbria. Since then the local Lions Clubs in Zone A and B have been helping families, displaced by these floods, with the basic essentials including the basic cooking units described on Page 3 of this Cumbria Flood Newsletter.
In this last 10 weeks or so, our District has been overwhelmed by the generosity shown from around the Multiple District. Again, the brief account, on Page 3 will tell the story in fewer words than I can.

I would like to thank all the Clubs and individuals, so generously giving us the wherewithal to help the communities in the stricken area. I would also like to thank the various other groups outside of Lions for their contributions.

The District 105 BN District Disaster Committee is working very closely with the Local Lions Clubs & Zones to address matters in the affected areas.
